As a cinematographer and producer, Gabe Dinsmoor documented the Baltimore Uprising and the Black Lives Matter movement for two years in his hometown of Baltimore. In October 2015, Dinsmoor began helping film Baltimore Rising, a feature documentary for HBO about the death of Freddie Gray and the Baltimore Uprising. In 2013, Dinsmoor co-directed and shot Pyne Poynt a feature documentary about a little league coached by the formerly incarcerated in Camden, NJ, one of America’s poorest cities. Dinsmoor’s work has been published by HBO, NETFLIX, A&E, The New York Times, The Guardian, VICE News Tonight, PBS, and Entertainment Weekly among other outlets. In 2018, Dinsmoor won Panasonic’s Share Your Vision Contest in Non-Fiction and was selected as a Saul Zaentz Film & Media Fellow at Johns Hopkins University.
